Ubuntu, Firefox, VLC and TVOnline
ผู้เขียนสัญจรมาทำงานที่ปักกิ่งได้ 2 สัปดาห์อาการลงแดงความบันเทิงแบบไทยๆ ก็เริ่มถามหา ถึงแม้ว่าที่พักจะมีสถานีโทรทัศน์ให้เลือกรับชมมากมาย แต่ก็เป็นภาษาจีนทั้งนั้น รับชมได้จริงๆค่ะ แต่รับฟังไม่ได้
(เนื่องจากฟังไม่ออก) และถึงแม้ว่าจะมี high speed Internet ให้ได้ดาวน์โหลดหนังฮอลลีวูดมาดูฟรีๆ … แต่ก็ยังอยากดูรายการต่างๆ ทาง TV ไทยอยู่ดีแหล่ะ
และหลังจาก Google หา ผู้เขียนก็ไปเจอ TVOnline เป็นเวบท่า รวบรวม TV ไทยทุกช่องไว้ในที่เดียวกัน ถูกใจยิ่งนัก แต่อุปสรรคตามมาเพียบเลย เนื่องจาก TVOnline ทำ content ไว้สำหรับผู้ใช้ Internet Explorer และ Windows OS เป็นหลักเท่าน้น VDO format จึงมีเพียง WMV9 (Windows Media Video 9) ซึ่งแน่นอนว่า ณ ปัจจุบัน Firefox ยังไม่มี WMP plugin สำหรับ Linux OS
แล้วอย่างนี้จะทำยังไงกันดีหว่า … งมไปงมมาจึงได้วิธีนี้มาค่ะ
- ดูข้อมูล embedded object ด้วย Firefox Page Info ได้ address ของ media มา เช่น mms://stream.thaicool.com/3new3
- เปิด URL address ที่ได้มาด้วย VLC media player
แม้จะยุ่งยากไปนิด แต่ก็ต้องขอขอบคุณ TVOnline เป็นอย่างสูง สำหรับความบันเทิงเล็กๆ น้อยๆ แก่คนไกลบ้าน
ผมเอา Totem-plugin ออกแล้วลง mplayer-plugin อะไรแถว ๆ นี้แทนอ่ะครับ แล้วมันก็จะดูได้ใน browser เลยอ่ะครับ
ทดลองเอา totem ออกแล้ว ลง mplayer แทน ปรากฎว่า firefox crash ทุกครั้งที่เปิด wmv เลยค่ะ
สงสัยมีอะไร conflict กันแหงๆ รบกวนคุณ Tee ช่วย list รายการ plugin ที่ใช้ให้หน่อยได้มั๊ยคะ

sudo apt-get remove totem-mozilla
sudo apt-get install mozilla-mplayer

มันเอา newline ออกหมดเลยอ่ะครับ
ตอนแรกนึกว่าตัวเองลง codec ไม่ครบนี่ก็ทำตาม https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu หมดแล้ว เปิดด้วย mplayer ที่ไรก็ยัง crash ทุกทีเลยค่ะ
ตอนนี้เลยหันไปใช้ MediaPlayerConnectivity plugin ให้มันเลือกเปิด VLC แทน ก็พอกล้อมแกล้มไปได้
