Buffalo Wireless Ethernet Converter

The Buffalo Wireless Ethernet Converter arrived me today. It will serve me as a bridge between my Netgear Wireless Access Point and my Dreambox 500s as i don’t want to wire Ethernet cable across my (almost) beautiful bedroom.

Buffalo Turbo G High Power Wireless Ethernet Converter WLI-TX4-G54HP

Features that I like

  • 4 x RJ-45 10/100Base-Tx LAN
  • 2.412 GHZ to 2.462 GHz IEEE 802.11b/g ISM Band
  • Transmission speed 125 Mbps
  • 100 V AC to 240 V AC Universal
  • WPA-PSK (AES, TKIP) 128/64-bit WEP Wireless Security

The most attractive features are the available 4 LAN ports and the 100V AC to 240 V AC universal power supply. The more Ethernet ports give me more room for my next toy, Network Attached Storage (NAS), meanwhile the universal power supply make it connect to Thai standard 240 V AC electricity without a converter.

Too bad. I can’t make it work with my Netgear FWG114P access point. :-(
